Stormy Seas at Salterstown

12th January 2013

It was a cold and very wild morning at Salterstown.  Difficult conditions for photography.  Within 2 minutes of setting up my feet were drenched by a huge wave.  Had I been on my own, I might have been tempted to pack up and head home again !  However with 4 friends from Malahide Camera Club with me, the pressure was on to produce at least one shot from the mornings shoot.  As it was so windy, everything from the tripod was looking a bit blurry, so resorted to hand-holding for this shot at the shoreline.  I like it alot as it captures the drama in both the sea and the sky.
