4th February 2012
Myself and Annraoi took a spin down to Wicklow today to meet our friend, Fran.  We met up in Laragh, and after some coffee in local establishment, we drove further up the mountains in Sally Gap direction.  It rained all morning, but we still managed to get some shots.
The Wicklow mountains are the source of 6 major river systems.   The Glenmacnass river rises on the east side of Mullaghcleevaun to form a spectacular waterfall on the North East side of the Tonelagee mountain.  The water has a brown colour due to the surrounding peaty soil.
I was using two filters to control the shutter speed today.  A Tiffen neutral density 0.9 and  Fader filter.  The total cost of these two filters was 160euro.   Fran , meanwhile was using a DIY filter made from welders glass, total cost 1 euro and 50cents.   He obtained the same effect as I did with mine, perhaps even better.
